How to Detangle Your Hair Properly
The whole point of detangling hair is to eliminate knots, tangles and to remove any hairs that have shed naturally. My clients really get frustrated with this process. So in this blog I will be explaining how to detangle your hair properly. Before using any detangling tool try to loosen tangles with fingers delicately separating out the area of the tangle from all of the hair. Work gently to loosen by drawing hairs upward and out to the side yet away from the knot. Do not draw the hairs down. Once you have loosen tangles with your fingers proceed to use a wide tooth plastic comb. Sometimes it helps to first align hairs working to the thickness and outer layer of hair. This helps prevent pulling hairs in a harmful manner. It's best to detangle hair when it's damp or in the shower where the water is forcing the hair straight allowing your comb or fingers to glide in easy. Always work gently and do not over stress the hair.
